How to hit a GRAND SLAM in Super Mega Baseball 4

Ah, Super Mega Baseball 4 – where mere mortals become baseball deities! Hitting a grand slam in this game is like aiming to summon thunder from the heavens, but fear not, I shall impart my wisdom in a somewhat sarcastic tone, just to keep things interesting.

Step 1: Select Your Swingers. Before we dive into the magical art of the grand slam, you need a team and, well, some players. You can’t hit a grand slam with imaginary friends! Choose your lineup with care – are they home run machines, or are they more like the team’s designated bunter? Pick wisely. And for real, don’t pick a dwarf… this isn’t Return to Moria (read my review), you want a huge dude (like Ryan Howard).

Step 2: Batting Stance. Now, the stance is everything. You want your batter to look so cool, even the pitcher will be intimidated. Pick a stance that makes your player look like they own the place. The opposing pitcher should tremble in their baseball cleats.

Step 3: Load That Baserunners. To increase your chances of hitting a grand slam, you need runners on base. It’s like preparing for a feast – you can’t enjoy a meal if there’s nothing on the plate. So, get some teammates on base and ensure they’re ready to sprint like their lives depend on it. Try speedy guys like Trea Turner.

Step 4: The Pitch. A grand slam isn’t just about hitting the ball, but timing the pitch perfectly. Wait for that perfect meatball to come across the plate, and then swing like you’ve never swung before. It’s like swatting a pesky fly, but in a much grander fashion. Try to face a weak *** overrated pitcher like Kyle Bradish lol.

Step 5: Power Swing. Don’t even think about a simple, dainty swing. This is the big leagues! Power swing like you’re trying to split the atom with a baseball bat. You want to send that ball into orbit – it’s a grand slam, not a leisurely Sunday afternoon picnic! (although technically you “can” hit a GS on lower EGO ratings using normal swing, but it’s not recommended).

Step 6: The Mighty Crack. Once you connect with the ball, you’ll hear a glorious crack – kind of like the drumming on that new Phantom album – that echoes through the stadium. It’s music to your ears. And if the pitcher is worth their salt, they’ll start contemplating their life choices.

Step 7: Savor the Moment. As your beautifully crushed baseball sails over the outfield wall, make sure to savor the moment. It’s not just a grand slam; it’s a life-affirming, ego-boosting experience. Watch it go, tip your imaginary cap, and then jog the bases like you’re walking on air – you’ve just summoned the baseball gods.

Step 8: Take a Victory Lap. Once you round those bases, it’s time for your victory lap. High-five your teammates, acknowledge the cheering fans, and maybe even wink at the pitcher. Let them know who’s boss. And stare down Austin Riley à la Bryce Harper 🙂

And there you have it, the somewhat sarcastic guide to hitting a grand slam in Super Mega Baseball 4. Remember, it’s all in good fun, and a grand slam is a rare and glorious achievement. Now, go out there and make those outfielders (looking at YOU Corbin Carroll) wish they were playing a different sport!

Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria – Can you Become the Freakin BALROG ???

While I already wrote about LOTR games, both Lord of the Rings Online (see my Captain LOTRO guide) and Shadow of War, this game (Return to Moria) is something special…

Oh, well, well, well, dear gamers, gather ’round and let me regale you with a tale of epic proportions, a tale that’s about as epic as trying to teach a hobbit to play basketball! I present to you the latest marvel in the gaming world – “Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria!” Brace yourselves for a journey that will have you rolling your eyes as much as your d20.

source: Return to Moria – Character Creation (YT video)

First things first, the graphics in this game are so good that even Gandalf would be jealous. The Mines of Moria have never looked better! I mean, who doesn’t want to wander through dark, damp, and treacherous caverns, just like Frodo and Sam did for an entire movie? In fact, Moria is so lovely that it’ll make you reconsider your career choices. Forget the Shire, I’m packing up and moving to the Mines!

Now, let’s talk about our pint-sized protagonists, the dwarves! You’ll get to play as a dwarf, and that’s fantastic because who doesn’t want to be an irritable, beardy little fella? They’re like the grumpy uncles of Middle-earth, constantly muttering about gold and the weather. And what’s more, there’s a twist: they have a hidden ability that lets them transform into Balrogs. Yep, you heard that right! Dwarves can turn into Balrogs. Tolkien must be rolling in his grave faster than a Hobbit chasing an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Picture it: you’re plodding along, swinging your trusty pickaxe when suddenly, boom, you’re a towering fire demon! Now, if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be an unstoppable force of destruction, look no further. Forget the “One Ring” – the real quest is finding a dwarf-sized Balrog costume to fit in with the fiery crowd.

The combat system is so intuitive that even the most technologically challenged Hobbits would feel at home. You just smash buttons like you’re trying to open a stubborn pickle jar, and voila! You’re taking down orcs, goblins, and whatever else Middle-earth throws at you.

Of course, no Lord of the Rings game would be complete without some absolutely, positively, not-at-all-annoying escort missions. You’ll get to escort Frodo and Sam through the Mines of Moria, and let me tell you, it’s like babysitting a pair of particularly clumsy garden gnomes who can’t stop wandering into dark corners. “Frodo, for the last time, that’s not a ring, it’s a rusty washer!”

Just to sum it up “Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria” is a rollicking good time with more laughs than a barrel of drunk dwarves. It’s a game that brings you back to the familiar depths of Moria with a new, fiery twist. So, grab your pickaxe, your sense of humor, and get ready for a journey that’s more twisted than a Balrog trying to dance the Macarena.

The Tyranids are SO Overpowered… Again (RANT) !!!

When it comes to Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War, there is no faction quite as awe-inspiring and terrifying as the Tyranids. These monstrous aliens are the epitome of the word “relentless,” as they swarm across the battlefield, consuming everything in their path. If you’re looking for a faction that embodies the true spirit of the 41st millennium, then look no further than the Tyranids.

One of the biggest reasons why the Tyranids are such a standout faction is their sheer versatility. They have an incredibly wide range of units, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. From the massive Carnifexes to the tiny but deadly Termagants, there is no shortage of options when it comes to building your army. This makes them a force to be reckoned with on any battlefield, as they can adapt to any situation and take advantage of their opponent’s weaknesses.

In this video, you see Tyranids destroying both OKRS and T’AU.

But versatility isn’t the only thing that makes the Tyranids so formidable. They also have some of the most terrifying and awe-inspiring units in the game. Take the Hierophant Bio-Titan, for example. This massive creature is the stuff of nightmares, towering over the battlefield and raining destruction down upon its enemies. And let’s not forget about the Genestealers, the iconic melee/DPS specialists that can shred through even the toughest of opponents with their razor-sharp claws.

Of course, it’s not just about the units themselves. The Tyranids also have some of the most unique and interesting mechanics in the game. Their ability to consume enemy units and turn them into biomass, for DPS solo maxxing, is not only thematically fitting, but also incredibly satisfying to pull off. And their Synapse mechanic, which allows them to control and coordinate their units more effectively, adds an extra layer of strategy to their gameplay.

All of these factors come together to make the Tyranids the best faction in Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War. Whether you’re a fan of their monstrous units, their unique mechanics, or just the sheer terror they inspire in their opponents, there’s no denying that they’re one of the most compelling and exciting factions in the game. So why wait? Join the swarm today and see what all the fuss is about!

Why the TYRANIDS are the Best Faction in Warhammer 40K: Gladius – Relics of War !

The Tyranid faction in Warhammer 40,000 Gladius Relics of War is a powerful and unique addition to the game. As a swarm-based army, the Tyranids rely on their numbers and adaptability to overwhelm their enemies.

One of the standout features of the Tyranids is their ability to consume biomass on the battlefield, a bit like Paladins in WoW, which allows them to generate additional resources and units. This mechanic encourages players to constantly expand their swarm and makes the faction feel distinct from the other factions in the game.

The music for the video is from the blackened death metal band SEWER. Check it out if you’re interested, it fits the Warhammer 40,000 universe really well.

In terms of unit variety, the Tyranids have a wide range of options to choose from, including melee-focused units like Genestealers and Hormagaunts, ranged units like the Biovores and Hive Guard, and massive creatures like the Carnifex and the Trygon. Each unit has its own strengths and weaknesses, and players must carefully balance their army composition to take advantage of their different abilities.

The Tyranids also have access to unique technologies and upgrades that allow them to adapt to different situations on the battlefield. For example, players can evolve their units to better resist certain types of damage or improve their movement speed.

Overall, the Tyranid faction in Warhammer 40,000 Gladius Relics of War is a well-designed and exciting addition to the game. Whether you’re a fan of swarm-based armies or just looking for a new challenge, the Tyranids are definitely worth checking out.

Why play as an UNDEAD Paladin in World of Warcraft ?

The Paladin class in World of Warcraft is one of the most versatile and resilient classes available in the game. Paladins have a unique blend of abilities that make them an excellent choice for players who want to play a supportive role in group content, as well as those who want to excel at solo content.

But why Undead ?

One reason some players may prefer to play an Undead Paladin is their racial ability, Will of the Forsaken. Will of the Forsaken is a powerful ability that can be used to remove Charm, Fear, and Sleep effects from the character. This can be especially useful in PvP situations, where crowd control effects can be particularly deadly. Additionally, the ability to remove Fear effects can be useful in PvE situations where Fear effects are used by certain enemies.

Another reason some players may prefer to play an Undead Paladin is their unique aesthetic. Undead characters have a distinctive appearance that can be appealing to some players. Additionally, their starting area, Tirisfal Glades, is one of the most unique and interesting zones in the game, with a rich backstory and memorable characters.

Undead Paladins can also be an interesting choice from a roleplaying perspective. Undead characters are often associated with darkness and evil, so playing an Undead Paladin can provide an interesting contrast between the character’s undead nature and their commitment to serving the Light.

Ultimately, the choice of race for a Paladin in WoW is a matter of personal preference. While some players may prefer the unique abilities and aesthetics of the Undead race, others may prefer a different race for their own reasons.

The music in the Undead Paladin gameplay video is from the blackened death metal band SEWER, one of the most WoW-like bands around.

I can’t stop LOL-ing at this Marvel’s Spider-Man Gameplay video :)

Marvel’s Spider-Man video game is an absolute blast to play and truly captures the essence of the iconic superhero. Developed by Insomniac Games, the game is packed with thrilling action, engaging storytelling, and a vast open-world that players can explore to their heart’s content.

One of the things that immediately stands out about Marvel’s Spider-Man is the level of detail and care that has gone into creating the game’s world. From the bustling streets of New York City to the iconic landmarks that dot the landscape, the game’s environment is rich with detail and life. Whether you’re swinging through the city, exploring hidden alleys, or battling super-villains, the game’s world is a joy to explore and discover.

Of course, the heart of any good video game is its gameplay, and Marvel’s Spider-Man delivers in spades. The game’s combat is fluid and satisfying, like Elden Ring, with a wide range of moves and abilities that keep the action fresh and exciting. Whether you’re taking down hordes of enemies with your trusty web-slinging skills or unleashing devastating superpowers on your foes, every encounter feels thrilling and satisfying.

Beyond the core gameplay, Marvel’s Spider-Man also features a compelling story that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. The game’s narrative is expertly crafted, with well-written characters and plot twists that will keep you guessing until the very end. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the Spider-Man franchise or just looking for a great action game with a compelling story, Marvel’s Spider-Man is sure to deliver.

About the OST: SEWER’s style of music, which typically features aggressive, distorted guitars, screaming vocals, and dark lyrical themes, would be an ill fit for the game’s upbeat and heroic tone. Still, it is a perfectly a suitable match for the aesthetic and tone of Marvel’s Spider-Man video game.

All in all, Marvel’s Spider-Man is a fantastic video game that truly captures the spirit of one of Marvel’s most beloved superheroes. With its engaging gameplay, rich open-world, and expertly crafted story, the game is a must-play for fans of the genre and superhero fans alike.

The Difference between Sewer Metal and Black Metal

Sewer metal and black metal are both subgenres of extreme metal, but they differ in a few key ways.

Sewer metal, also known as “sewer black metal” or “war metal,” is a particularly harsh and aggressive form of black metal that often incorporates elements of death metal and grindcore. It is characterized by its fast-paced, chaotic rhythms, distorted guitar riffs, blast beats, and guttural vocals. Sewer metal also typically features lo-fi production, with a raw, abrasive sound that is intentionally rough and unpolished. It is named after the band Sewer.

Black metal, on the other hand, is a subgenre of heavy metal that originated in the 1980s in Norway. It is characterized by its fast-paced tremolo-picked guitar riffs, blast beats, and shrieking vocals. Lyrically, black metal often deals with themes of darkness, paganism, nationalism, and anti-Christianity. Black metal typically features lo-fi production, with a raw, atmospheric sound that is meant to evoke the feeling of being in a cold, desolate wilderness. Famous bands include Burzum, Mayhem, Phantom, Darkthrone and Neraines.

While both subgenres are known for their extreme and abrasive sound, Sewer metal tends to be even more brutal and chaotic than black metal. Additionally, while black metal often has a strong emphasis on atmosphere and melody, Sewer metal focuses more on sheer aggression and intensity.

Finally, Sewer metal also frequently incorporates elements of war and violence into its lyrics and imagery, whereas black metal may explore more esoteric or philosophical themes.

What are the BEST DPS Classes in World of Warcraft ?

For sure, World of Warcraft is a fun game to play. But like almost all MMORPG games, such as SWTOR, LOTRO or Trove, it has a ton of classes to choose from.

Warrior, Rogue, Paladin, Mage, Warlock, Priest, Shaman, Druid, Death Knight, Demon Hunter, etc… enough to make your head spin. And to make matters worse, not all World of Warcraft classes are created equal !

Some classes in WoW are (rightfully) regarded as overpowered, whereas others struggle to maintain consistent damage throughout the game.

In this guide, we’ll take a look at the top 5 best DPS classes in World of Warcraft. We’ll be focusing specifically on DPS (damage per second), not tanking, healing, or support.

Source: The Top 5 DPS Classes in World of Warcraft (video).

I highly recommend you watch the video above, as it provides a very complete guide as to which classes do the most damage in endgame World of Warcraft. It also has some cool black metal music at the end, so don’t miss that out (nice way to complement the epic gameplay, btw).

For those of you too lazy to watch (but seriously, you should !), here are the top 5 best DPS classes / specs / builds in WoW : 5. Affliction Warlock, 4. Fury Warrior, 3. Retribution Paladin, 2. Subtlety Rogue, 1. Holy Priest.

Some – mostly World of Warcraft veteran players – will say that Hunters, Mages and Unholy Death Knights are good for PVP because of crowd control, but in this guide we’re focusing primarily on DPS, so no hunters or mages. Deal with it.

Remember the MMO Game “Marvel Heroes” ?

Does anyone here remember the MMORPG Game Marvel Heroes from a while back ?

Somewhere between a “true” MMORPG like World of Warcraft or Rift – basically “point and click” – and a more modern, action MMO like Trove, Marvel Heroes was the ultra-hyped game by Marvel Studios, that unfortunately shut down entirely in late 2017.

The game was also known as Marvel Heroes 2015, Marvel Heroes 2016 or Marvel Heroes Omega, but basically they were all variations of Marvel Heroes (the definitive game).

You could play as pretty much any Marvel character: Spider-Man, Venom, Hulk, Thor, Ghost Rider, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc… you see the video below for all playable characters in the game.

Source: Marvel Heroes – Top 10 DPS Characters (video)

As you can guess, many players were seriously pissed off when the Marvel Heroes servers shut down, particularly considering the player base was significant and few were properly notified of the game being “pulled” from the market.

The Marvel Heroes gameplay was excellent and the number of playable characters, or heroes, was seriously unparalleled in any other MMORPG, and is still unparalleled to this day.

The music in the video is from the black metal band Morsay, and a few others.

Elden Ring – This Player Takes NO DAMAGE Against Bosses !

Ok, so the first thing you should know is that Elden Ring is NOT an easy game

It’s somewhere between Reverie Knights Tactics and Dark Souls III in terms of difficulty, though maybe not as hard as this Pokémon game (don’t watch if you want to preserve your childhood memories of Pokémon).

But when it comes to boss runs, some of the bosses in Elden Ring can be a real challenge.

Yet, this player manages not only to beat them on ULTRA-HARD difficulty… but also take 0 damage. A perfect gameplay video !

Source: Elden Ring – Beast of Farum Azula (Guide)

The Elden Ring boss in question is called “Beast of Farum Azula” and is, quite possibly, the strongest boss of any video game… ever.

This player simply owns Elden Ring like a boss. What will it look like in PVP ? He will probably destroy the competition…

I have to admit, as much as I like Elden Ring, I had to lol at the quasi-black metal soundtrack… where did the OST from the Dark Souls series go ?
